Angela D. Meyer

Angela D. Meyer, author | The Mosaic Collection

There is brokenness all around us and people are turning to the wrong things for answers. Only God can make whole. I want my stories to be powerful in their showing of God’s truth, love and grace, lighting the path that leads directly to God.

I have experienced firsthand the redemptive, restorative power of God’s grace in my marriage and I want to share with others that.God is able to heal, restore and redeem any brokenness.

God is able to heal, restore and redeem any brokenness.

A few years ago I discovered my husband had a sexual addiction. After confronting him, he repented and got help. Between counseling, an accountability group and the grace of God he is now an overcomer of sexual addiction.

During that season of his overcoming and finding healing I grieved, I was angry, I was lost. Yet I learned to trust God when I couldn’t trust my husband. Jesus brought me through my own brokenness to healing for my own hurting heart. He remained faithful to take care of our kids in the middle of the turmoil. We aren’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but God continues to heal our brokenness and give us grace in the midst of our imperfections.

One of the coolest ways I saw God move during this season, occurred through my first book published. I was already in the editing stages with my publisher when I found out about my husband’s secrets. The story in Where Hope Starts is about a woman who discovered her husband betrayed her through a sexual addiction. I faced the theme of forgiveness and God’s power to redeem every day as I worked on editing. This was God’s grace. He kept me from isolating. Kept my path to healing continually in front of me. The message I poured into my book was the message God poured into my heart. He can redeem and restore. There is always hope in Him.

A powerful story about tough issues that people in real life must face and deal with. Any book that makes me cry that much deserves a five rating.
